Lesson 14 - COMPLETED

Hi,

I just want to say that from today I am changing the study time of GMS. Why? Because I cannot get up in the morning :D
That is the only reason. I completed  lesson 14 after quite long time (2hrs+ with some breakes). It was a little "not in my type lesson" because of studying history (which I am not a big fan), so I was fighting with myself a lot to finish the lesson. And also because of the new way of memorizing and reading information. Slowly, slowly but getting forward.

I am using also MMaster, and it's getting me sad - it's so fast (or I am so slow -)!!! I know it's possible to change the speed, but I want to do it in 6s. And I will !!!!
As for now I didn't have even once 100% recollection, still I must fix my FCs, I think. At the end of Lesson 14 it's written that now I should set the memorized data up to 40. But I'm still in my 20s :( !!! I'll change it today up to 25, tomorrow till 30. We'll see what will happen. Anyway, I'll let you know.

Lesson 13 - the easiest lesson as for now

Hi,

I am happy to say that the first lesson of the second course is not so time taking - around 30-40 min. and is EASY.

At first, when I read what should I do I was like - "Oh noooo!!!! again it'll take so much time" - but then... it turned out to be very easy. I had only to be focused - no music (I never use it during that time), no TV, I closed also the window (no noise from the outside) and when I started making the exercise, suddenly I was suprised that it is over. "Shit, already? Yuppie !!!" :D

So tonight I'll try a little (or whole :D ) Lesson 14. I must also do more Memory Master and remember that number 68 is PaLm.

Interesting books - less TV more knowledge

Yesterday I was looking for some informations about Daniel Tammet - and I've found in the net 3 interesting (for me) books:

First one is his autobiography - "Born on a blue day",

Second one is - "Moonwalking With Einstein" by Joshua Foer - who is claiming that Tammet is just mnemonis,

and the third one is - A. R. Luria's "The Mind of a Mnemonist- A Little Book about a Vast Memory".

Read books guys, please. There will be always some episode on TV...

Finally !!!! Lesson 12 - (First Course) -> COMPLETED

Hi everyone,

Pfff, that lesson was tiring - and it took me two evenings - and one morning :P
The first day I spent on fixing FCs (getting better, baby :D ) and first few exercises from this lesson.
First 4 exercises were ok. The next day I completed ex.4 after 3rd attempt. During 2nd recollection I forgot just 3 numbers. Not bad !!! :D

But the ex.5 was killing me. The pace of 6 sec. is not yet for me... It took me maybe 15 min. to complete it the first time (I have still problems with FCs - specially no.58 - FiLm and 70-79, the rest is almost reflex-like). The second repetition took me...20 minutes, than even more - and I said to myself - "For tonight it's over". And I went sleep. Today, this morning, I completed it with a little struggle - I started from beginning and it took me 30 mins with one repetition - but I did it !!!!
One more thing - at the end of Lesson 11, you're asked to install "Memorization Master". But... how to use it is explained in Lesson 12 (last page) or here (hehehe) -> Cicero method, 100 support images. Today is Lesson 13... I hope it'll be fun.

Lesson 11

Hello,

How's going? Yesterday I just finished Lesson 11. Most of the time I spent on exercise 4 and was a little angry (as I am not an american) with ex. 5. It was a little unfair that one, because I don't know "American Flag Day" and so on, and "National Mustard Day" made me laugh :D

I've noticed also that FCs which are having just one letter are easier to memorize - like 1-10-19 (N+...), 30-,90- because I have no doubt what the first letter is.

Ex.4 I did correctly after 3d time (first was learning it). I've got the link to "psycho technical exercises" (thank you, qsdf123). Here it is:

Also I've found some interesting movie on Youtube (once again,I have no time to watch it right now):

Enjoy :D

Just one more lesson to finish First Course - I am extremely happy!!!

FCs... Arghhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!

I've just finished (after repeating again and again) FCs with memocards. I usually have a problems with those from 50-80. So I tried to improve it a little more.

Now, I am going to learn a little more of Lesson 11 (and again new FCs - shit!!!).

.

Wow !!!!!!

Look what I've found just a moment ago :

Unfortunately it is in German, but even so....

.

How much time...........

Just a moment ago I've read the journals at the PMS forum. What i noticed is that the later lessons will take much less time. I   H O P E  so because this first course is really thief of the time.

BTW. I have no time during the mornings (today is exception), so usually I start to study around 10 pm. Until now - nothing to happened to me during my sleeping time.

Lessons 1-10

Hi. It took me almost 20 days to finish this lessons. Usually it takes beetween 2,5h for one lesson. Many times I am confused by the new english words which I don't know (english is not my mother language), like "nib" or "hacksaw" , "nail filr" or simply stupid like "awl", which I changed for "owl" , "beak" for "bow" etc.

Still I am extremaly happy that I am doing the lessons every day (usually I make 1 lesson for 2 days, plus FCs).I would like also to have the excercises for concentration from lesson 8. Can anyone could help me with that?

So from now I'll be writing everyday about my progress and problems (that can occur).

THX,
